Following on from the events in "A Pocket Full of Shadows", Danny, Nalini and Saodat attempt to settle down and give Danila and Katya as normal an upbringing as they can. However, Ahriman Heart of Darkness, Lord Four Winds and the White Serpent seem determined to interfere. Here are four more tales of shadows, alternate realities, gods, demons and other entities that amuse themselves with games in which mere mortals are cannon fodder, and sorcerers are pawns.

1.Ahriman, Heart of Darkness, takes a special interest in sorcerers and those with powers. Among these is Mary-Anne, whom he is stalking. Danny, Nalini and Saodat had already rescued her from an evil sorcerer, and now they must rescue her from Ahriman's attentions.
2.Ahriman is also stalking another sorcerer who uses stolen souls to buy himself immortality. He needs Danny and Nalini to assist him in taking down the sorcerer, because this sorcerer can command Ahriman's obedience.
3.The Lord of the Four Winds, one of the Mandalas of Existence, needs four humans for the four directions of the mandala, but it has only three.
4.White Serpent, one of the Serpent Beings is attempting to take over Lord Four Winds' Realm, and Lord Four Winds could use a little help from mortals able to slip beneath White Serpent's notice. Ahriman takes an interest in the proceedings, playing the long game, and stalking all participants.
